Role and Responsibilities
The Database Associate will coordinate through the Vice President to ensure procedures promoting efficiency are followed. The database associate is responsible for keeping the database up to date with client account information.
The associate will be responsible for generating reports used to file all property valuation tax protests in a timely manner. Additionally, the associate will be responsible for ensuring reports used for management, client letters reporting results, billing, past due notices, etc. are managed in a concise, professional manner.
- Create and generate new reports and/or letters as required
- Edit existing reports and/or letters as required
- Prepare client property reports for filing valuation protests in a timely manner on strict, short deadlines
- Prepare letters to clients regarding valuation protests, billing, and requests for property information
- Keep client information updated in the database
- Transfer appraisal district supplied electronic data to Access database
- Verify outdated data and make necessary changes to client records
- Search for and investigate information contained in files
- Perform regular database backups to secure data
- Input text-based and numerical information from source documents
- Provide occasional administrative support
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree (Accounting, Computer Science, or 2 Years at College or a Technical or Vocational School business-related field preferred, but not required)
- Must be proficient in Access and MS Office
- Ability to build or edit reports and letters in Access
- Ability to prioritize work loads
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Operate common office equipment, like scanners and printers
- Sort, organize and file hard copies of paperwork after entering data electronically
- Review data for deficiencies or errors
- Assist with special projects requiring enormous amounts of data entry
- Provide data entry support across departments on an ad-hoc basis
- Input data quickly and efficiently
- Work closely with upper management
- Strong writing, research, and communication skills
- Ability to multitask while meeting tight deadlines

- Knowledge of office management responsibilities, systems, and procedures
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work

- Experience in the Property Tax, Appraisal or Real Estate fields is preferred.
